Narrow Neck Residence

Dramatically cantilevered from a steep cliff facing the stunning Rangitoto Island, this home was originally designed by German-born architect Jobst Engl and brought to completion by EA Designer.

The dwelling’s striking angled walls are emphasised by the choice of bold, vertical cladding, built to withstand it’s tough seaside environment. The thermal performance of this home was paramount along with the preservation and enhancement of the expansive, uninterrupted views.

Providing complete privacy from the street, this home features a sheltered courtyard which looks through the large, open living space to Rangitoto Island.

The interior was designed in collaboration with the original architect, with a focus on craftsmanship and exquisite detailing and proportions.
